HGHB prepared a master plan for Green Hills Country Club which included the replacement of the original clubhouse while retaining the existing pool and golf cart storage structure. The design for the new clubhouse creates a distinctive place that capitalizes on the magnificent setting in the hills above the bay, capturing the spirit of early California architecture that evokes the bay area traditions. The new clubhouse has two levels to optimize circulation and accessibility. The lower level primarily functions as a social/dining area for the club. The upper level includes locker rooms and exercise activities. The interiors are characterized by vaulted wood ceilings, an appreciable fireplace, and detailed ornamental wrought iron chandeliers. Large windows provide expansive views of both the 1st fairway and the San Francisco Bay.
